Crimson-speckled Flunkey (Utetheisa pulchella)

This type of moth is a very colorful species which has now become rather rare. It has a 4 cm wingspan and can be found in most of Europe, even extending as far east as Australia.

The larvae feed on forget-me-not, Echium, Borago and Anchusa species.
