Common Blue summer brood (Polyommatus icarus)

The Common Blue is a small butterfly. Male upper sides are an iridescent lilac blue with a thin black border while the females are brown with a row of red spots along the edges.

This Common blue is a summer brood hence no blue on its hind wings.
